Marriott Bonvoy: Book Hotels App Reviews

None of my reservations show up in this app as they do on the full website. This app is useless.

I havent had any issues with this app! Very easy to book my rooms, get an alert for check in. Easy to use!

Not sure what all the fuss is, it works fine for me.

Downloaded yesterday and cant believe how incredibly easy this app made the reservation experience. Have always loved Marriott hotels, and found the (1) presentation of hotel and room options, (2) high quality pics, (3) speedy reservation process, (4) confirmation of reservation made it as easy as an Uber ride. Hint-- become a rewards member so you dont have to keep entering personal data over and over! Youll benefit from further discounts as well. Get over what may have been past issues... Clearly the tech/ design team is on the ball, staying true to the Marriott brand. Its now my #1 stop for travelling.

Quick Update: One year following the launch of Apple Watch, and their app title still reads, “Marriott-DEV”. Way to go on attention to detail. We, your customers, deserve a better experience. I spend a lot of time in Marriott properties (Im in one right now), so Ill add some levity to my review by using some Marriott terms. Do not download this app expecting a Marriott EDITION experience. At best, this app is a Residence Inn in a forgotten Midwest town. Sure, it has what you need, and the price is right, but you probably shouldnt look too closely at any of the surfaces. The Good: It can show you your reservations. It can make you a reservation. It can dial the Marriott phone number when you need anything else. The Bad: Seriously awful graphics. Mostly non-Retina, so they look fuzzy. The general look and feel of a very rookie app, or a "mobile optimized" webpage. No Passbook support for displaying your Marriott credentials or viewing reservations Remain signed in functionality is flaky at best No TouchID support for login A static Marriott banner at the top of the screen, at all times, that does nothing.

The app is easy to use... Thanks for providing the service.

Its terrible. Requires iOS update, popups and not showing all my reservations or available rooms. Clunky. Devs really hosed this app.

4/16/16 complaints here are a waste of breadth. Still hugely worse than Hilton app which is one of several reasons I have 40 nights at Hilton and maybe 7 at Marriott this year so far. 7/13 update. From bad to worse. Newest feature: bait and switch. Rates in response to search actually not available! For example Marriott Metro DC shows 161 rate for 7/16-19, when I click for detail says rate not available these dates, offers rates $16 more per night. Several other searches produce same result. Guess which chain I am not staying at! Prior: I am a decade long gold rewards member. The app is useless and getting worse. Glossy over functional. I am multi-discount eligible. Marriott makes me choose before searching, Hilton lets me list and reports varying results. Marriott web site lets me filter (say by city) and then sort (e.g. By price). App used to and Hilton still does, but latest pretty app version gives this up. My Hilton status has gone from silver to gold, largely because its app is so much simpler. If this keeps up, I foresee dropping to silver or below in Marriott. Marriott website so much better it is my choice over app, but for it Id have dropped any status already. Mobile check in requires 2 hours in advance. Really?

Does this app ever work? Im surprised they advertise it. I get an email suggesting I check in via the mobile app for tonights stay. But, once again, the app just wont load. Not sure why I keep trying.

Works great. Simple. Easy. Quick. Period

I dont know it is apples ridiculous 3D Touch gimmic or simply bad programming, but I could not reserve my room with it so it is useless.

I dont normally review apps but this one is so bad I had no choice! There literally is nothing good about this app! It baffles me how a company so intent on customer service can have an app that is so bad. And to make it worse this app has received horrible reviews since its launch and absolutely zero improvements have been made! What I especially love is when it asks me to do mobile check in so you click on the app to do so and it says you have no reservations! If youre a frequent traveler looking to simply the lodging part of your travel do yourself a favor and avoid this app!

This app is terrible. I cant even view my current reservations and NO ONE at Marriott is helpful at all.

I mustve use this app at least 20 to 25 times now and Ive never had a problem. Its very convenient and always seems to find the best prices for us

It takes a lot for me to truly believe negative reviews. I tend to believe that it is just user error or people mad at the company. But most of the other reviewers are right on. This app is nothing short of horrible. It doesnt load most of the time and when it does, it wont find my reservation. I even tried to get it to work loading directly through the Marriott website with my reservation number. Nope. It either wont load or tells me I have no upcoming reservations (which I do, of course.). Dont waste your time.

Look at the Hilton app if you want to know how to do it right!

For all the great things Marriott does, this App isnt one of them. Not user friendly and hard to navigate. Been the same way for years. This is coming from a platinum Member

Constant error. Watch app is useless as it directs you to look at your phone, which defeats the purpose of the watch!

Wish I could give 0 stars. Need to make it backward compatible. Some of us platinum members cant upgrade from our perfectly good iphone 4 just for the app. Added: Still havent made it backward compatible. Ive booked with other hotels. Youre losing business.

I keep getting error code 422, but there is nothing wrong with my entries. The app doesnt highlight the section it is having a problem with. Please fix it.
