Marriott Bonvoy: Book Hotels App Reviews

Got excited when I saw there was an update. Maybe the app will finally work. Wrong! It is so frustrating to me that we pay big money, in some cases to stay at a Marriott property and they cant put enough money into a simple app.

Does not work, plain and simple!!!!!!

This newest update was a good idea to whom? Cant navigate well, cant upload anything into missing stays, even the chat feature doesnt work!! Stinks!

Simply doent work. Dont waste your time.

I travel 6-7 weeks per year and stay at Marriott brands frequently. When you have a wifi connection, the app does a good job. But the lack of offline functionality is annoying - its a travel app for a world-wide brand. I expect to be able to review reservations offline and have local address info accessible.

We have children and any hotel we stay in must have an indoor pool for the kids and a hot tub/whirlpool for my hubby. This app only lets you search by location, number of guests, specific brand of marriott conglomerate, and special rates (ie military or caa members). Until they add the other search items one can use online or on separate travel apps (that also list all the hotels in the area, btw, not just marriott brands!) then I wont bother with the marriott app. Meaning someone else might get my business.

So Ive tried using this app mostly for booking. Im a member of the loyalty program, and spend at least 6 weeks a year in a Marriott hotel, so it would be nice if it worked for me. Except I cant when it doesnt work, which seems to be a lot of the time. Im not a huge app user, maybe 100 or so, and I cant say that I have worked with any other app that has been a worse experience. And despite help from Marriott tech support, the whole favourite thing just doesnt function like I expect it to: designate a favourite, and I expect it to become a short cut option. Natch, doesnt work that way. In fact, I have no idea what it does do. I have 2 bachelors degrees in engineering from MIT, so youd think I could figure it out. The interface is confusing and does not seem to understand typical users. Ick. Back to the website, which keeps pushing the app.

Thought I would try this. Unfortunately I dont have my Marriott rewards card memorized so it would send me back to sign up page and eliminate all my info. 2 times☹️. I have deleted and wont be wasting my time on the 3rd attempt. Let me know when that gets fixed.

I use this app all the time to book our rooms, works great.

Please update the app to allow us to add our Mariott card to the Apple Wallet.

Great search and filter capability makes the booking process very efficient. Highly recommended.

One suggestion is to make the membership number on wallet a bigger font, very small at the moment

The Ottawa hotel was horrible to deal with. It took me over 1.5 hours to actually book a room. During this experience, I was put through to customer service twice. At which point, while on hold they disconnected me twice and still were not amenable to giving me my entitled rate.

The app does not update and doesnt open. I cannot even delete it, it is frozen!!!

Not a very useful app, as every time I go to use it, it has logged me out. A memorized password would, of course, likely be a low security password. This is also an app likely to be used while on-the-go, thus making it all the more annoying to try to use. Not so complicated is it, Marriott?

Use it all the time, great for making reservations when not at a computer and saves having to lookup a number and call
